ReStore
Same great Home Store at Habitat-Apopka,
with new hours and a new name!
At Habitat for Humanity of Greater Apopka, things are constantly in motion! Not only have ReStore hours expanded to include being open from Tuesdays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but they have a new name as well. The former Home Store is now ReStore of Habitat-Apopka. They are the same great Home Store… they just have a new name - ReStore! In conjunction with Habitat for Humanity International, all Habitat affiliates operating home stores or thrift stores will be changing their names to “ReStore”. The “Re” in ReStore stands for re-use, re-cycle and reduce what goes in our landfills! Look for ads about the Habitat ReStores on TV, in the monthly newsletters and on the Habitat Web site!
Habitat ReStore is a retail outlet where quality used and surplus building materials, furniture, household goods and appliances are sold to the public at a fraction of normal prices. Proceeds from ReStores help support the ministry and also help to fund the construction of Habitat-Apopka houses within the community.
Materials sold by
Habitat ReStores are usually donated from building supply stores, contractors, and demolition crews or from individuals who wish to show their support for
Habitat. In addition to raising funds,
ReStores help the environment by re-channeling good, usable materials into use. In addition to accepting quality used and surplus building materials,
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Apopka ReStore also accepts donations of furniture (new and used), household goods, collectibles, and other home items. Just call 407-880-8052 to ask about
donations, schedule a pick-up or
volunteer to help with this exciting business venture.
